Leadwork & chimneys
Lead is the oldest material on your roof, and the least forgiving of shortcuts.
Flashings, valleys, chimney trays, bay tops — leadwork is where roofing becomes craft, and where cut corners announce themselves as stains on a chimney breast two winters later. We dress, weld and step lead the traditional way, to the codes the Lead Sheet Association publishes and most firms have never read.
Chimneys take the worst of the North East weather. We repoint eroded joints in the correct mortar, re-bed and re-flaunch pots, renew trays and flashings, and — when a stack is genuinely beyond saving — take it down and make good so cleanly you would never know it stood.
Repointing extends beyond the stack: verges, gullies and ridge lines, re-bedded and pointed neatly. One customer's review said the pointing on her gully line was "lovely and neat" — the kind of praise this work lives on.

Well what can I say. Absolutely amazing jobs. Davey and the lads are top draw. Her early real workers and replaced my very large roof on my conservatory in no time at all. After being done from another roofing company I had lost faith in tradesmen. If only all were as good as these guys the world would be a better place.
